Kate Devon-Abra Frederick
Kate spent her 20's and 30's ice and rock climbing, and moved out west for six years. Now in her 40's Kate became a national spokesperson, advocating for pregnancy & breastfeeding rights, when she was fired due to discrimination. She planned her own child-friendly wedding and strives to be a positive agent of change and education. She is the President of the NH Breastfeeding Rights Coalition, a member of the MA & D.C. Breastfeeding Coalitions, Breastfeeding USA and Attachment Parenting, International. She has consulted with Best for Babes.org and is a Breastfeeding Counselor Candidate with BF-USA. Kate has worked with children and families for over 20 years. She holds a Master's degree in Psychology and has taught at Granite State College. She's lived in the North Conway, NH area for 10+ years, having previously lived in Boulder, CO, Corvallis, OR, Burlington, VT, but is originally from Port Washington, NY. Her maiden name is Silver, which she changed to Abra until she married. Kate lives with her husband Brad, son Devon and their pets, Malachy, Minxy, Storm and Gert.
